Universal balancer with monitor for cars and trucks
FT18 is the top of the range FOCUS truck balancer. The 17″ monitor confers prestige to tyre shop and displays clear information for the operator. It’s universal, the 40mm shaft can handle both car and truck wheels; two separate programs performcalculations for the two different modes. The “minimization of residual static unbalance” program is always present.
- Detection of wheel data
The automatic gauge enables auto-input of wheel distance and diameter and displays relative balancing program required (clip-on or stick-on weights). No errors due to manual inputs.
The machine allows operator to work according to his preferences. The correct positioning of counter-weights can be displayed in two different modes: with the accuracy of position repeater or the conventional 12 o’clock position. A powerful electro-pneumatic motor assosts the operator during counterweight application.

- Pneumatic lift
Pedal operated ergonomic and fast pneumatic lift guarantees an optimal centering of wheel on flange.
User friendly: after lifting wheel in proximity of the shaft the operator can adjust wheel height using its own mass to manoeuvre relative handle-bar. The exact coupling between tyre and flange is thus obtained in an accurate and rapid manner.
- Optional EMS Sonar for radial eccentricity measurement (Run-Out)
Vibrations generated by radial eccentricity do not depend on wheel unbalacne. The EMS Sonar enables, in a single quick spin, to detect all causes of vibration by measuring wheel eccentricity with a 0,1 mm accuracy, to obtain an accurate diagnosis in a very short time frame.
- Wheel guard (option)
Due to the low spinning speed the use of a wheel guard is optional.
We suggest its use when operating frequently on wet or dirty wheels.

To centre wheels with 8 holes on 275/285,75 mm Ø and with 10 holes on 225/285,75/335 mm Ø. They are supplied with two spiders and a pre-centering ring. Pre-centering on the central hole and on the guided stud bolts allows higher accuracy and centering without damaging alloy rims.
